It is a "Recycled" Resource

The helium used in balloons is actually a byproduct of the medical and scientific industries. When ultra-pure liquid helium is transferred into MRI machines or laboratory equipment, some of it "boils off" into a gas. Instead of letting it escape into the atmosphere, companies capture, compress, and sell this lower-grade gas for balloons.

It’s Not for Medical Use

It is a common myth that the party industry "steals" helium from hospitals. In reality, balloon helium is not used for medical stuff. Medical-grade helium must be at least 99.99% pure to work in MRI scanners or breathing mixtures. Balloon gas is often only about 95–97% pure, meaning it contains small amounts of nitrogen or oxygen that would cause high-tech medical magnets to fail or "quench."

. It’s an "Escape Artist"

Have you ever noticed that a helium balloon shrinks much faster than one filled with air? This is because helium atoms are the second smallest in the universe. They are so tiny that they can actually slip through the microscopic pores of a latex balloon. While air (mostly nitrogen and oxygen) stays trapped inside for weeks, helium "tunnels" through the walls of the balloon and escapes in just a day or two.

Born in ’76, my first selfies were limited to once a year when the school photographer showed up and told me to sit straight.

We went all out with a signature blue Strictly-themed backdrop, but since this is a high-traffic area with dancers and crew flying about, we had to get technical.

We built the whole setup on a solid, heavy-duty frame for health & safety so it stays perfectly in place no matter how much celebrating goes on! 🛠️✨

It’s such a massive deal to be the offical strictly balloon and backdrop supplier.

The BBC trusts for a historic night like this feeling incredible.

💃 🕺💃 Behind the Glitter at Blackpool Ballroom Tower🎈

We are absolutely buzzing to share that Balloon Guys provided the high-class, superior balloon styling for Strictly Come Dancing BLACKPOOL
🤩

Here’s a little secret about the size of this challenge:

Each balloon colour was chosen meticulously once the colours where picked to go with the stage for Steps the pop band.

Using several massive balloons—each one a whopping 3-feet (nearly 1 metre) in diameter then tied in groups of 4 🤯

Imagine navigating that huge arrangement: down a staircase, out the door, into a van, out of the van, and then perfectly loaded onto an articulated lorry for transport to the studio all the way to Blackpool with a cold overnight stop... all without a single scuff or pop!

A true testament to the skill and care of the Balloon Guys team. We’re happy to report they made it without a scratch—now that's a perfect score!
